IBD Awareness Comics

illustration series

Over 12 million people worldwide live with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). Without proper treatment, a patient spends an average of two hours in the bathroom daily, which adds up to a total of 28 days a year.

This series of comics is created to raise awareness about IBD and spread the information that symptoms can drastically improve with an appropriate treatment plan. Two stories feature famous historical figures known to have had IBD, while the rest of the comics depict real experiences of regular people with the disease, with names changed for privacy.

The slogan says: “Don’t flush your time down the toilet!”.
